History

Initially named Fairmont Hydraulics, the company became the Fairmont Division of Greenlee Textron in 1992 and continues to enjoy an excellent reputation as one of the world's leaders in specialized hydraulically-powered tools and related accessories. Hydraulic operation is more efficient, more powerful, and substantially quieter than the traditional pneumatically-powered versions. Electric utilities, public transportation and maintenance departments, agriculture, and the construction industry are primary markets for Fairmont products.

Fairmont products include chain and circular saws and blades, tree pruners, cable cutters, pullers, and crimpers, post and rod drivers, tampers, pullers and augers, rotary impact hammers, drills and wrenches, concrete breakers, wet/dry concrete and steel cutters and grinders, portable alternators and hydraulic power units, submersible water and trash pumps, wire and cable winches, low and high pressure hoses, couplers and control valves, and related hydraulic and pneumatic accessories.
