History
Initially named Fairmont Hydraulics,
the company became the Fairmont Division of Greenlee Textron in 1992
and continues to enjoy an excellent reputation as one of the world's
leaders in specialized hydraulically-powered tools
and related accessories. Hydraulic operation is more efficient, more
powerful, and substantially quieter than the traditional pneumatically-powered
versions. Electric utilities, public transportation and maintenance
departments, agriculture, and the construction industry are primary
markets for Fairmont products.
Fairmont products include
chain and circular
saws and blades, tree pruners, cable cutters, pullers, and crimpers,
post and rod drivers, tampers, pullers and augers, rotary impact
hammers, drills and wrenches, concrete breakers, wet/dry concrete and steel
cutters and grinders, portable alternators and hydraulic power
units, submersible water and trash pumps, wire and cable winches,
low and high pressure hoses, couplers and control valves, and related
hydraulic and pneumatic accessories.
